Pack and Updater Help

Are you ever overwhelmed by the sheer variety of software options out there? Don't know what to download, let alone what version? If so, we'd like to recommend the Google Pack, a free collection of essential software from Google and other trusted companies. The software in the Google Pack helps you browse the Web faster, remove spyware and viruses, organize your photos, and more. All the software has been verified free of unwanted extra programs or excessive notifications.

The Google Pack also takes the hassle out of downloading, installing, and updating software. You can download and install the entire Google Pack in just a few clicks. And the included Google Updater helps you discover new programs and keep your current software up-to-date.

System requirements

Make sure to use either Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or above, Mozilla Firefox 1.0 or above, or Google Chrome to install Google Pack. You'll also need to have Microsoft Windows XP or Windows Vista and be using an account with administrator privileges on your computer.

Steps to install

1. Visit http://pack.google.com
2. Select your preferred language from the menu at the top of the page.
3. Select the checkboxes for the programs you'd like to install.
4. Click Download now.
5. Review the Terms and Conditions, and if you agree, click Agree and Download.

If this is your first time installing Pack, you'll be prompted to first download the Google Updater. Once installed, Google Updater will download and install the programs you've chosen. You can use the Updater to open your Pack programs, manage software updates, and uninstall programs. To open the Updater in the future, go to the Start menu > Programs > Google Updater > Google Updater.
